Direct File Transmission saves time and expenses by sending your file electronically.

File type, name and extension.

There a five different types of files we prefer, these options are listed below.

Option 1: Save or export your artwork as a Postscript file. (.eps file) no preview
Option 2: Save or export your artwork as a Adobe Illustrator file. (.ai file)
Option 3: Export your artwork as a AutoCAD drawing interchange file. (.dxf file)
Option 4: Save your artwork as a Corel draw file. (.cdr file version 8)
Option 5: Save your artwork as a AutoCAD lite drawing. (.dwg file version 14, compatible with all previous autocad formats)

We can also read a lot of other file types but we CANNOT use any of the BITMAP, RASTER or IMAGES formats without an extra charge for converting to vectors and cleaning up.
Also FONTS from the Mac computer are useless to us.
Make sure all TEXT is converted to lines ( this goes for IBM computers also).

In order for us to quickly process your order, your artwork should be scaled to the actual size you want cut. If this is not possible, be sure to send a FAX noting the actual size at which you would like the file cut.

The file should be saved in wireframe or outline format. Remove all overlapping lines. Make sure there is no extra artwork other than exactly what you want cut. If you want multiple copies of a file cut, simply note on a FAX the quantity and size or sizes you want cut.

When cutting text we only need one of each letter and a quantity list.

Please do not spend time nesting everything together as most likely we will not use your layout.

If you are sending an AutoCad file (dwg or dxf), make sure you make it very simple. Remove all text and dimensions, purge all the layers and blocks. Keep it very simple.

Creating a Zip file.

If you have multiple or large files we recommend you compress the files into one Zip file.
This makes the file you are sending smaller, therefore making it faster and easier to send.
Compressing multiple files into one is useful because it helps to avoid confusing or losing files.
We have most of the currently used zip and unzip software including PKZIP, WINZIP, and Visual ZIP.
If you do not have zip software we have provided a link to a site where you can find the appropriate zip software for your operating system.

Sending the file as an Attachment

You can send us your file as an attachement to an e-mail message.

***** IMPORTANT ***** The subject line must contain the word 'quote' or the word 'job'.

Write a short note to describe the file and attach it to the message.
Be sure to follow up by sending a FAX telling us that you sent a file and giving details about the job.
